Happy Holidays!

Before we know, it is almost the end of 2018.
In 2018, we have sent many Japanese au pairs to the United States, and few Japanese au pairs to Australia and New Zealand. We will work harder in 2019 and send more Japanese au pairs to many countries.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in hosting a Japanese au pair.

Hope you will have a wonderful holiday season.
If you already have a Japanese au pair right now, please spend a great time with her/him. This season is special, and Japanese people will find it very interesting, just like I felt like that long time ago.

Interexchange Au Pair USA 2018 Annual Conference

It is almost the end of the year! Time goes so fast.
Before we welcome the new year, I attended InterExchange Au Pair USA’s annual conference in November. This year, the conference was taking place in Washington D.C.
I received updates for au pair program, and met with InterExchange staff members, local coordinators and international cooperator like us from the world. I was a great meeting. Thank you, InterExchange!

My company, Au Pair Japanese Connection received Excellence in Cultural Exchange award.
I am thankful that InterExchange recognize our work. We will do our best to send more Japanese au pairs next year.

Met many au pair agencies in the world in Seville, Spain

I just returned back from my business trip in Seville, Spain, and it was absolutely wonderful.
I participated in the annual conference organized by WYSE Travel Confederation and International Au pair Association, IAPA, and I met many au pair agencies across the world, such as United States, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Germany, Spain and many more. I am absolutely positive sending Japanese au pairs to several countries in the near future.

Even though it was just 1 hour or so, I was able to explore the old town of Seville, and was BEAUTIFUL. When I was there, most of the time, it was rain and cold. But, a Taxi driver said, “rain in Sevilla is beautiful.”

I agree.

Now I am back in Texas, working harder than ever!

Visiting Spain!

In one week, I am visiting Seville, Spain for first time! To be honest, I have never visited anywhere outside the United States, Canada, or Japan.
Definitely, it is outside my safety zone….

The reason why I am visiting Seville is to attend a global conference where I can meet with other travel or au pair agencies in the world. I am very excited to meet with people, at the same time bit nervous for going to a foreign country.

I asked my friends if people there speak in English, do I need to prepare for tips, how much cash I should bring etc.
It may be the same feeling that my Japanese au pairs experience when they first visit a foreign country where they have never been.

Anyhow, I am VERY excited to visit Seville.

I will not be alone because there are many agencies whom I already knew going to the conferee. They will teach me where to go and what to do.

My Seville report will be followed!

Happy Holidays!

Winter break has begun, and we will soon have the year 2018. Time goes so fast.

Au Pair Japanese Connection will work harder next year to promote the au pair program to Japanese nationals and send more au pairs in 2018.
As a fact, our au pairs have already been matched with host families for next year. One of them is for July arrival!

For the next 1 or 2 months, we will encourage Japanese au pairs to finish their applications. If you are hoping to have an au pair in 2018, please start early.

Thank you so much for being such a wonderful host family, and hopefully you can welcome a Japanese au pair soon.

Happy Holidays!

Great meetings in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan

I am sorry that it took long time to write a new article. I am already in Japan and have passed mid point of my stay. I would say I have been extremely busy and time goes fast.

I am pleased to announce that my seminar in Tokyo and Osaka was VERY successful. I was able to meet with future au pairs in two locations. Several have already started and finished their au pair applications and now ready to match with host families. SO, if you are thinking about welcoming a Japanese au pair this year, please contact us.

Also, there are many Japanese au pairs who would like to become au pairs in the spring 2018. Few people already started their application process and trying to start early. Even though the next year’s applications cannot be published at this point, if you are planning to welcome an au pair early next year, please contact us.

Each year, I feel that the au pair program is getting popular in Japan. I have met many talented young Japanese nationals, and I am looking forward to introducing them to you soon!

Below picture is one of the Japanese future au pairs’ comment on ” how you could achieve your goal”

Don’t worry, we have new au pair applications from Japan

If you are host families and looking for Japanese au pairs, you may be feeling that there are not enough Japanese candidates. If you feel that way, don’t worry. Au Pair Japanese Connection is working on new applications and hopefully, more profiles ready to match for you.

You may have felt that when you review au pair profiles, they have been already taken by other families. This is because host families can review multiple profiles at a time, and therefore, you may be able to review profiles, but cannot ask for an interview via the system.
Host families will select one au pair, and rest of them are released. So, you will then able to review their profiles and start talking with the au pairs.

In June, I will meet with prospective Japanese au pairs in Tokyo and Osaka, also several more cities in Japan. I would like to promote the au pair program and recruit Japanese nationals.

If you have questions about Japanese au pairs, please do not hesitate to contact us.
