Japanese Au Pair has been started their applications

This is Spring, and in Japan, March is the end of the academic and business year. School year starts in April and ends in March. Consistently, professional calendar year starts in April and ends in March.

What does it mean for host families who are seeking Japanese au pairs?

Spring is the very important season to start communicating Japanese au pairs.
Also, you might consider welcoming a Japanese au pair sometime between April and June. Many Japanese nationals are seeking an au pair opportunity with April, May arrival after graduating from school or finishing their employment contract.

Some Japanese nationals think that they would like to work until March, then resign their job and focus on their au pair application process.

I realized several Japanese nationals started working seriously about their applications.
We are working hard to encourage them to finish their applications.

Au Pair Japanese Connection is hosting a recruiting event in Tokyo and Osaka in June.
I am hoping to promote au pair programs in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, France etc.

Busy recruitment season has been started.
I will keep you posted!

Atsushi is 25 years old and has been working as a social worker for few years and has experience with childcare as well. I met with him in Tokyo this summer, and he is a polite and kind person.

Busy season has began for au pair matching

I know it is just January, and normally, for au pair matching, it should be still quiet and slow. BUT this year is definitely different.
I see multiple host families seeking Japanese au pairs and started searching their au pairs.
So, if you would like to have an au pair for summer this year, it is not too early. It may be a good idea to start reviewing au pairs’ profiles.

As a fact, several of my au pairs who completed their applications are hoping to arrive in the USA in summer 2017. The earlier, the better for sure.

At the same time, I do also have au pairs who are ready to arrive to the US immediately.

I would say this year, I have more variety compare to previous years in terms of au pairs’ experiences. It is truly interesting. I have, of course, preschool or kindergarten teachers with few years of experiences. I have repeat au pairs who decided to try again. I have nurses who have been taking care of children as well. Don’t forget! I have male au pairs. Our male au pairs like cooking, friendly, and love sports. If you have boys, a male au pair may be something to think about.

We will do our best to have our au pairs complete their applications and place their profiles ready as quickly as we can. We are also planning to have an au pair seminar in March in Tokyo.

We are looking forward to sending more au pairs this year!

If you are thinking about welcoming a Japanese au pair to your family, please do not hesitate to contact us.
